Since the coup, security forces have protected the wealthy and well-connected in the capital, and left everyone else to deal with a rising crime wave on their own.
Norwegian authorities said on Tuesday they had carried out a search at the headquarters of Norwegian telecoms operator Telenor, which is suspected of complicity in crimes against humanity in Myanmar.
