A charity group has responded to the military’s brutal arson campaign in Sagaing Region by building palm huts for those who lost their houses, but it’s struggling to keep up with the rate of devastation.
Severe monsoon flooding has swamped villages and paddy fields in central Myanmar, forcing people out of their homes including those already displaced by war, an Agence France-Presse reporter and the United Nations said.
