It’s been seven years since the previous government said that the controversial Myitsone dam in Kachin State would be halted.
However, communities displaced by the multi-billion-dollar project remain in limbo, as the government has still not decided whether or not it will go ahead.
This week, Doh Athan meets with communities that were displaced by the project several years ago, and hears about the struggles they are facing in their new communities.
