Episode 29: Rape in the disabled community, police brutality against protestors

The number of rape cases being reported in Myanmar is increasing, largely due greater publicity by the media. But the rape of women with mental and physical disabilities largely goes unreported.

In this week’s two-part podcast, Doh Athan speaks to two such victims and looks at what can be done to prevent such acts from happening. We also hear about the support being given to the victims of these crimes.

In part two we share the views of people about the violent tactics used by police to control recent peaceful protests in Yangon.
