China’s Xi says ‘firmly supports’ Myanmar in safeguarding sovereignty

Chinese leader Xi Jinping pledged support on Tuesday for Myanmar in safeguarding its sovereignty, state media reported, as he met with the regime’s president Min Aung Hlaing in Beijing.
