China and the Myanmar regime have pledged to expand trade and security ties, especially along their border, during talks in the Southeast Asian nation with its junta chief-turned-president and both countries' top diplomats, the two governments said.
The National Unity Government’s foreign policy has been marred by a lack of vision, overdependence on advisors with limited knowledge of Myanmar's conflict dynamics, and a tendency to ignore criticism.
