Beijing said yesterday that the head of a Myanmar ethnic armed group had come to China for "medical care", after news reports in its war-torn neighbour said he had been arrested on China's orders.
Myanmar's military was responsible for more than 700 civilian deaths over the six-month period ahead of the regime’s election last year, the United Nations said Monday.
