Following a chaotic boom period, conflict has left Myanmar’s ruby mines in limbo, due to displacement, road closures and the disappearance of Chinese buyers.
A blast in northern Myanmar killed dozens of people on Sunday, two rescue workers said, with the resistance group controlling the area saying it was caused by the accidental detonation of mining explosives.
