The traumatised victims of a blaze that destroyed most of a central Myanmar village have been left reliant on donations as they try to rebuild their lives and salvage shattered dreams.
On May 31, a massive warehouse explosion in Kaung Tap village, in northern Shan State’s Namkham Township, damaged hundreds of houses and killed dozens of residents, leaving survivors to deal with the aftermath and leading some to wonder whether it is even worth rebuilding.
