Myanmar's army on Tuesday cleared itself of allegations that troops may have carried out ethnic cleansing, but said a soldier had been jailed for taking a motorbike.
The Myanmar military has razed dozens of villages in the Rakhine State township to make way for Chinese development projects, displacing tens of thousands and offering few benefits for the local population.
