A long-running dispute between the government and a mining company over a debt has shuttered dozens of gold mines, crippled small operators and left thousands out of work.
A blast in northern Myanmar killed dozens of people on Sunday, two rescue workers said, with the resistance group controlling the area saying it was caused by the accidental detonation of mining explosives.
