The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative has welcomed the first report to be submitted by Myanmar since it was granted candidate status for membership with the organisation in 2014.
A blast in northern Myanmar killed dozens of people on Sunday, two rescue workers said, with the resistance group controlling the area saying it was caused by the accidental detonation of mining explosives.
