At the summit hosted by Beijing last month to promote its plan for a new Silk Road, Myanmar and China signed five agreements and two are of particular economic significance.
China and the Myanmar regime have pledged to expand trade and security ties, especially along their border, during talks in the Southeast Asian nation with its junta chief-turned-president and both countries' top diplomats, the two governments said.
