Episode 107: The struggle of juvenile offenders in Monywa

In theory, Myanmar’s new Child Rights Law aims to provide greater protection and security for juvenile detainees. But in practice, the law has not always been effective.

This week, in partnership with the Monywa Gazette, Doh Athan reports from Monywa, where young detainees are reportedly deprived of meals, physically abused by older inmates, and placed in the same cells as adult prisoners.
